BTA / CTA / MTLA Digital Pathology / focus on digitization of section preparations (m/f/d)

part-time or full-time (30-40h). The position is initially limited to one year. A takeover is sought.

Your responsibilities:

  • Digitization (brightfield and immunofluorescence) of clinical tissue samples
  • Quality control of digitized tissue sections
  • Preparation of digitized tissue sections for evaluation
  • Planning ahead for necessary system upgrades to support system growth
  • Database entry and maintenance (electronic recording and documentation of all processes)
  • Interaction with our development and pathology team
  • Technical correspondence by email in German / English

Your requirements:

  • Successfully completed training as BTA, MTLA, CTA or Bachelor of Science
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
  • Basic histology knowledge
  • Interested in diagnostic imaging procedures, in histological test procedures and in working under GCP conditions
  • We assume that you are well versed in handling the MS Office package
  • Technical affinity and willingness to learn when dealing with new programs
  • Distinct service orientation, confident and friendly demeanor, communicative competence and team sprit
  • Structured, responsible and independent way of working

Your remit:

  • Receipt and registration of sample material for clinical studies
  • Documentation of results during the reporting by the Pathologist
  • Electronic recording of results in our databases
  • Quality control of database entries
  • Scope: 12-20 hours / week; 10.00 euros per hour
  • Period: from September 2021 initially for 1 year

Your requirements:

  • Happy to be a student (m / f / d) in the natural sciences or another subject
  • Experienced handling of MS Office applications
  • Medical interest and previous knowledge desirable, but not mandatory

Your responsibilities:

  • Understanding a global and multi-office network infrastructure
  • Administration of MS Office365 and MS Azure AD services connected with multiple sites
  • Administration, monitoring and maintenance of our network, storage- and server environment (VMWare, Citrix, Windows Server, Veeam B&R, Netapp)span>
  • Planning ahead for necessary system upgrades to support system growth
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, support with escalated help desk requests
  • Upgrade and extend existing network infrastructure. Experience with Merki, Adtran, Ubiquiti systems would be an advantage
  • Install servers, devices, and firewalls
  • Create and maintain documentation for applications and processes including validation, change management and error management of computerized systems
  • Work closely with team members in different departments and time zones efficiently and effectively
  • Investigate and diagnose problems quickly and efficiently and coordinate with other employees or 3rd parties as needed to resolve them
  • Provide support to remote users including installing and upgrading software, hardware setup, and configuring systems and applications

Your requirements:

  • Successful completion of one's education as an IT specialist for system integration or equivalent IT
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience as a System Administrator
  • Good knowledge of at last one scripting language
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Solid understanding of network technologies
  • Knowledge of system security techniques
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience in the healthcare industry or laboratories is an advantage
  • Experience in the field of validation of computerized systems or cloud environments is an advantage

Your remit:

  • Preparation and execution of tissue-based tests such as immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization and ELISA, IHC and ISH
  • Preparation and implementation of molecular-biological analyzes such as qRT-PCR, mutation analysis, FISH and nanostring
  • Preparation of histological sections and tissue microarrays
  • Preparation of substrate solutions, buffer solutions and other reagents
  • Preparation and execution of orders, maintenance of documentation
  • Working in a regulated environment (GCP)
  • Preparation and review of SOPs, instructions and other GCP-relevant documents
  • Documentation and evaluation of results
  • Database entry and maintenance (electronic recording and documentation of all processes)
  • Preparation and follow-up of internal and external audits / monitoring visits
  • Participation in the establishment and validation of new analyzes

Your requirements:

  • Successful completion of one's education as BTA, MTA, CTA or biology laboratory assistant.
  • Knowledge of histology, tumor biology and immunology are an advantage
  • First work experience in the above-mentioned area of responsibility is desirable
  • Good written and spoken English skills
